The OGS PTO is having a bake sale on October 23rd from 8am-12pm at Odell Bank. There is also a fundraiser going home with students. It is the Oakland Noodle Company fundraiser. The fundraiser starts today October 14th and ends on Wednesday 27th. Orders will be in on November 22nd. If you have any questions please get in touch Lily Bolte.

Position Available- Kitchen Aide
Odell Grade School is looking for a kitchen aide. Person will assist with food prep work and lunch. Must be able to lift boxes and food bins up to 25 lbs, continuous standing, walking, cleaning and preparing meals. Hours are 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. on school days that students are present. Odell CCSD #435 Board Vacancy Announcement
The School District is accepting applications to fill the vacancy resulting from not having enough people run in the April election.
The individual selected will serve on the School Board from the date of appointment to the Reorganization Board of Education Meeting following the April 2023 consolidated election.
Applicants for the Board vacancy must be, as stated in section 2:40 of District #435 Board Policy Manual, a United States citizen at least 18 years of age, a resident of Illinois and the District for at least one year immediately preceding the appointment, a registered voter, be neither a school trustee nor a school treasurer, and not be a child sex offender as defined in State law. A Board of Education member must also have filed an economic interest statement as required by the Illinois Governmental Ethics Act. Some persons may be ineligible for Board of Education membership by reason of other public offices held or certain types of State or federal employment.
Letter of interest may be turned in by 2:00 pm on Friday, May 28, 2021, to Mark Hettmansberger, Superintendent, Odell CCSD #435203 N. East St., Odell, Illinois 60460, or emailed to markh@odell.k12.il.us.
Also the Junior High dance has been moved to May 7th from 5-7.
